When did you ORIGINALLY join Mastodon and/or the Fediverse?
@catsalad I think it was around 2016-17 or so, I got on a small server run by a person I was familiar with. Found the whole thing confusing. Didn't know how to set things up to suit me, didn't know how anything worked. I gave up on it, most of the feed was in Japanese. Came back on a different, large server the day Elon bought Twitter and this time had no problems at all.

@catsalad I opened my first account couple days after Trump’s first inauguration in 2017. Not to brag, I could smell the wind of change on Twitter. Made it permanent when Musk pulled that sink stunt

@catsalad As usual, my generation was forgotten. Though I'm technically GenX by birth year, I seem to have most of the same problems as Millennials, so I tend to self-identify as a Xennial.
