@Blender I think I appreciate that. It would be nice to have some clarity. Can you point at the elephant in the room. Perhaps even at what's occurred in Iran, given Claude might have been involved there.
I do want you to get money to support blender. But this does not make me excited. Though I appreciate you've announced it openly.

@thibaultmol @UkeleleEric @eden @Blender So, legally speaking (EU tax laws vary, but seem to converge on this), *donations* cannot be based on reciprocity. A public statement thanking the donor is about as far as it can go, or the recipient is in hot water tax wise.
*Sponsorship* is not tax exempt, and can therefore include all the reciprocity the two parties can think of.
So whereas e.g. FOSDEM treats things one way, it does not follow that any other sponsorship has to follow the same rules.

@Blender Uh so, you are taking money from a company that enables war crimes, destroys our planet, destroys our society and steals from the very ppl that made blender successful, the art community?

you cant weaselword out of this. Its not the wording thats disgusting, its the fact of taking money from an entity thats harmfull to any creative person, or democratic or antifasistic.
