    Wow line-mode browser! I remember using that at Michigan State back in... 1992? My CompSci prof was convinced that the Web was going to replace Gopher. I guess he was right.

                                      I just took a look at the archive folders for my 1st company's website (yeah, I'm a pack rat). The last edit date on oldest file I can see, a gif file, is August 6, 1996, 30 years old today!

                                      I suspect the first iteration was older still, but I can't be sure.

                                      My (only) sales and marketing guy was a bit of a tinkerer and got it started. I did some of the early work and pretty much took over maintenance when he left the following year.
