Democrats: Vote Blue no matter who!
-
Well, now. Democrats are being called corporate from the #DSA and #Communist from the Republicans.
Symptoms, meet cause.Democrats lose this cycle because of corporate imposters taking over the base of BOTH #MAGA and the #DSA so corporate can watch US citizens continue to miss the point.
That's on the #DSA
#NoKings@Jazone
Sorry i actually thought i was supporting your statement until i read it again after making my post (hence the edit)Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot to fight the DSA as hard as they do. It's wasted money, they're losing seats, and they look terrible doing it. Why are they giving so much fight here? Why haven't they brought that energy to stop Trump?
People want a party to the left of center and the DNC absolutely refuses to allow it (it seems to be the only thing they absolutely will not allow) and the excuses are getting really, really thin -
Saving this toot if Democrats fail to take Congress and the Senate this cycle.
The #DSA attacks on Democrats is the reason why Democrats lost in #Election2024 based on what we see happening AGAIN.
Change my mind.
#NoKings@Jazone if Dems wanted to win, they would do what voters want instead of constantly trying to block progress.

Democrats: Vote Blue no matter who!
Public: [elects Mamdani]
Democrats: Wait.
Public: [votes for other socialists in primaries]
Democrats: NOT LIKE THAT!
God forbid we vote in representatives who have solutions rather than fascist ideals

#NoKings@Jazone @maxleibman This is wildly inaccurate, and I'm very much in the #Vote Blue No Matte Who column.
There was not a single major DSA chapter (New York, Seattle, etc) that argued against voting for #Harris.
The #DSA, right now, is the _only_ chance #Democrats have of winning systemically. All other roads, save for a #progressive coalition, lead toward crossing the #fascist event horizon.
Though, personally, I think the #USA has already crossed it.

@maxleibman I doubt it. A lot of people have been billed as disruptive to status quos only to peter out at year two or three. Mamdani smells like one of those. The DMC strategists don't feel threatened by flashes in the pan.
Plus nobody serious really thinks socialism can work over large diverse populations spread over vast geographical distances. The whole model starts collapsing after about 30 million people give or take. -

@maxleibman Remember, #dnc when Bernie's platform brought us all out in droves and y'all had to derail him on his way to the Presidency? We do, and we're still looking to vote for that platform.

#NoKings@Jazone @maxleibman Yes, it was the DSA and not the Democrats offering nothing but 'We're not Trump!' as a selling point, trotting out an 80 year old man in ill health until he became too fragile to go on, no plan to even discuss ending a genocide and pretending endorsements from honest to god war criminals in the likes of Dick Cheney were in fact a sign that they were on the right path.
They saw voter apathy to Clinton lead to the election of one of the worst presidents in American history and thought surely people wouldn't stay away a second time if delivered a slate of candidates whose platforms were to promise nothing and deliver less, but sure, it's one of the least powerful groups in Democratic circles that was the issue.

@AeonCypher @Jazone @maxleibman
The corporate socialists don't have to say don't vote for Harris, they use social media to push all kinds of bullshit to sow apathy. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) explicitly refused to endorse Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election while she was running against a Nazi fascist right wing dictator.
Before you say so what, remember how many of Mamdani's followers were complaining about the Democrats not endorsing him.

Biden returned over 100 hostages to their families while sending the US Navy on a mission to build a bridge from the ocean to shore.
Not a single nation helped.
It's easy to be blinded by resent.
Biden told us to "Build Back Better" and I think you should focus on how that can happen rather than tear everything down.
We were closer to a #freepalestine in the 1990s.
