SpaceX is now requesting 456 launches per year from Boca Chica https://public-inspection.federalregister.gov/2026-20963.pdf

As my colleague pointed out, that's more than the current launch rate for the world (245 launches so far this year according to https://orbitalradar.com/satellite-launch-log), from a single site that was sold to the public as a testing and development site.

And if you have it available to you, go watch Shifting Baselines! It's the most beautiful way to learn about how terrible SpaceX is...

(And yeah, I'll email the all-Canadian filmmaker team again today and try to find out if there's a way to watch it inside Canada yet)

@sundogplanets they haven’t yet demonstrated their launch pads are reusable without a refurb, let alone their starship. If there were still an SEC, they would be investigating this filing as misleading investors with unrealistic goals.

Musk needs this scale of launch capacity if he is to continue to profit from both sides of a war.

He & his investors take payoffs from both Russia & Trump's oligarchs.

On a whim, Musk can prolong any war just by squeezing Starlink bandwidth at the behest of the highest bidder.

@sundogplanets I just checked on Kanopy here in Aotearoa New Zealand and it's available here. I'm based in Wellington. Other public libraries here may also make it available.

There only needs to be the one: A super rocket aimed at the sun - tell them it's Mars, they'll never check - with Special K Boy and all the "Elite" on board.

That characterization by them likely saves them multi-millions in taxes. It's the same ruse data centers are using.

@sundogplanets Musk is filling our skies with his spy satellites. Use Apple Night Sky and check out how many Starlink satellites are already littering our planet. It’s just trash used for his personal gain. I say we blow them out of orbit forever then put everyone in jail. This is all so stupid.
