@ShaulaEvans I've been doing this for years specifically for topics I'm well versed in and want to be able to speak about in the target language.

@ShaulaEvans I don't generally read Wikipedia in my target language(s) but I do have an automated tool which uses the "read this in another language" mechanic to translate key terms

You are so right about Wiktionary.
For inflected languages, it often has an entry for a particular form, explaining maybe something like "masculine singular past indicative perfective" and pointing me back to the root.

@dvd Yes! I often do this when I'm talking about plants or food with friends who speak other languages -- it's so handy to be able to clarify ingredients, plant names, etc.

@ShaulaEvans Yup, I do this all the time. Wiktionary is my first port of call, mind you, but it's sometimes lacking certain translations so Wikipedia is the next logical site to check.
