I agree with you that he‘s made a similar mistake that politicians in the US and elsewhere have made, by suggesting that the fascists are maybe sorta kinda halfway right, rather than rejecting their inhuman program in fullness.
But he was right about “remigration“, if only just this once. Most importantly, the AfD‘s defamation action is just the kind of thing authoritarians do.

the problem is that the chancellor and his team is actively doing deportations right now
people who wrote a wrong character into some immigration form years ago and who never committed any crime are being picked up from the workplace where there are needed and respected to deport them
theres nothing to believe nor praise this very bad person says.
