10 minutes ago I was alone in the DB longue.

I came here carrying 24.5 kg of stuff, and I'm gonna leave carrying at least 26 (more because no food or drinks on Danish trains).
Scandinavia has no proper drugstores and I had to stock up in DM in Hamburg. In Scandinavia there are pharmacies selling expensive cosmetics, Sephora, supermarket's own brand toiletries (a hit and miss) and a dollar store / drugstore combo which sells cheaply whatever toiletry surpluses it manages to obtain around Europe, called Normal. Normal is cheap, looks cheap, full of loud teenagers trying on makeup, designed so that you have to pass through the entire shop (like Ikea). Some products are OK, but it is always a lottery. I once ended up with half a litre of almond body lotion because it was the cheapest vegan body lotion per ml, but it smelled badly, with a hint of cyanide... And I made myself use it even after returning to the proper drugstore area. Normal in Denmark sometimes has Irn Bru
and some trinkets are OK.

Had to remind 4 Americans (judging by the accent) that they're supposed to be silent in the silent compartment (of the Öresundståg). Poor guys, they don't have trains in their country, how would they know (besides the inscriptions in English on the back of every seat)?! But if they want asylum in Europe they're gonna have to learn to behave!
Why on Earth is the heating on? It is 22°C outside 🥵

This is all of Malmö I'm going to see today. Hope I have some time for it on the way back. Would be nice if I could get there during the Malmö festival, but I doubt it. Last 2 summers I ended up in Malmö during the festival without being aware that there would be a festival.

Oops, "normal" washing machine program in Norway is cotton, right
I hope I still have something to wear after this laundry cycle

I only lost one sock. The washing machine ate it. They should feed their appliances better, taking into account that they charge 70NOK for washing and drying each.
In other news, seeing floating saunas reminded me of the most Norwegian headline ever: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/feb/01/floating-sauna-rescues-motorists-whose-tesla-plunged-into-oslo-fjord

Sports teams really should shower and change between the match and boarding a train

I couldn't choose the quiet coach. The woman sitting diagonally in front of me hasn't stopped talking on the phone since we left Oslo, over 3 hours ago. First she talked to "pappa", then to "mamma", guess it's distant relatives now. She's drinking this: https://www.vinmonopolet.no/Land/Italia/Wine-Cup-Merlot/p/2288804
4 more hours of this
Yes I am listening to something, yes I do have the noise cancellation at the maximum.

The Sun does set, but "Today it does not get darker than Civil Twilight." which means you can still read newspapers outside with no additional light (the definition we learned when people still read on paper). https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/norway/bodo

It is almost midnight (I know I know DST shifts it and Bodø is almost in the centre of the time zone, so local midnight is around 1AM). It's a white night but luckily it seems like it won't be a tropical white night, the temperature should drop under 20°C for a few hours.
Bodø Stormen (The Storm) 🥰 I have a thing for libraries
