@steve @shriramk ...and then proves that the problem is intractable by its nature; the proof attracts more attention, thereby expanding the field and leading to newly-possible conclusions.

@0x0ddc0ffee Bravissimo! That rocks. Excellent choice.

I have only one. There was one copy for sale in Bangalore (US edition, so ridiculously expensive by Indian standards). So I went and won a trivia contest whose prize money covered its cost. So I'm not about to forget I own it.

My copy still says "$14.11 Rs. 237/70" on the front page ("Rs." = INR). I guess the exchange ratio was 16.8 at the time. Now it's 91.6…

                  Color me intrigued.
                  And repulsed.

The color shapes interlock and are the same but mirrored

@shriramk One was in a dusty corner of a little used book shop that somehow survives to this day, a block from the campus of the University of Washington. Another was presented to me by a mentor after I finished The Little Schemer, along with a pink paperback edition of George Polya's _How to Solve It_, and a well-worn copy of _The Annotated Alice_ containing a bookmark from the same used bookstore. Another two, both 25th anniversary editions, were regifted to me on the grounds that I'm "one of those Lisp people.", nearly a decade apart. The fifth, I have no recollection, at all. I've been meaning to find new homes for at least 3 of them. My first copy is falling apart, and I'd to keep the one given to me by my mentor.

@shriramk It's the ultimate irony that what some people are touting as AI doesn't know that title. Or maybe the self-reference was too much for it.
