@wdlindsy oh if only those pesky interests wouldn't fight with each other, then "conflict of interest" wouldn't ever be a problem! I joke, but that really does seem to be the currently accepted approach to analyzing a person's conflicts of interest: if they're working for the government and doing business at the same time, it's fine so long as the obvious conflicts of interest are classified as "potential". Jared Kushner might be the Second Coming for all we know! then all of his interests would be harmonious, presumably
