@catsalad As usual, my generation was forgotten. Though I'm technically GenX by birth year, I seem to have most of the same problems as Millennials, so I tend to self-identify as a Xennial.

I used to use Diaspora, Identi.ca, GNU Social and Friendica before Mastodon (or even ActivityPub) existed, since around 2010 in fact -

So before covid is the Mastodon version of the dark ages?
I did technically join back then, but at that time the web interface didn't filter out repeated boosts from multiple people I followed. So my feed was extremely repetitive and annoying, which led to me not coming here very often
When Twitter went to shit, I was happy to see that had been changed over here! So I hopped on the 'don and never looked back

@catsalad And it has a bunch of notifications from people who accidentally @'d it instead of this account. It looks like one accidentally inserted a space before hachyderm when replying to something.
