A very full moon rises on March 2nd as the sun sets.

In about 9 hours the moon will be totally eclipsed.

For New Mexico maximum eclipse will be around 4:30AM, but totality lasts for about one hour. Set your alarm and think 'clear skies'.

@KrajciTom No moon tonight around the Chesapeake Bay. We got snow, likely the last we'll see as temps forecast to be in the 70s by the weekend. Good luck with the eclipse!

@KrajciTom Seattle the moon will be totally eclipsed from about 3 to 4 am. It will be visible to those flying near Seattle. Those of us on the ground will probably only see clouds and rain.

@KrajciTom PS I woke around 4am eastern (Tuesday, March 3, 2026), looked out the back windows to the west, but total cloud cover. Dang! No eclipse for us Easterners.
