I guess it's something I have to remind myself - there's an unfortunate large number of people who would 1000% own slaves tomorrow if it was legal to do so.

@keydelk when I do engage with ai, I don't want to see it as some slave. At best I just anthropomorphize them as freelance contractors. I pay you tokens and write up a set of instructions for the contractor to work on.

I guess it's something I have to remind myself - there's an unfortunate large number of people who would 1000% own slaves tomorrow if it was legal to do so.
@JessTheUnstill an older coworker once said to me, after mentioning he recently had some checks stolen from him, that crime victims like himself should be allowed to hold the criminal as a slave "for a time". He was completely serious. You can guess his political alignment.
I still think about that from time to time. So horrible.
