Globe & Mail interview done! That was a delightful conversation, the journalist had been wanting to interview me for a long time (which makes me really happy to hear!)

Now time to go pick up the new telescope from campus (because FedEx won't deliver to rural addresses) and take it back home to assemble it. (Not that I'm going to get to use it anytime soon, the forecast is clouds forever...)

I had a stretch goal of getting the telescope assembled today, and setting it up on a friend's front lawn for solar viewing for anybody who's interested before and after the small town Canada Day parade tomorrow, but it's looking like 100% clouds all day...

@sundogplanets Half-not-jokingly I wonder if there's a meteorology prof who would be useful to partner up with -- if you can't see into space because of the clouds maybe there's something useful to show people by looking at the actual clouds.
