1. Laughter: Not b/c of the humor of the novel but b/c the movie is so campy.
2. Incredulity: Ray Bradbury wrote this?
3. Where's Ishmael & and that magnificent voice? Heightened appreciation for the Cetological sections of the novel.
So helpful to show the movie, which deletes the novel's long middle sections (I love them & now the students "get" them even more) in favor of the Ahab/whale plot.
