@MalcolmNance Petr Pavel is correct. Russia only understands strength. We here in the West have been way too cautious with "escalation management". Russia sees that as weakness and just escalates further and further. Russia has threatened to nuke the West hundreds of times if we do X. When we eventually do X, they just silently back down and accept the new reality. They keep on pulling these stunts because we don't set hard limits to what is acceptable behavior.
