Unless there's a very delicate operation going on there's no real risk.I was actually thinking how relatable everything in the photo is. @dallo It's not just old hardware though. I saved a laptop on with an 8th gen Intel, Win 11 on an HDD made it all but unusable. It's not exactly snappy on Fedora KDE, but it doesn't take 5 minutes to open Dolphin.

@coreyspowell well, tons of philosophers tried to balance the power of mind and its attachmentto what we call reality, emphasizing that just speculative thinking produces only worthless imaginations, and that truth can only be found when reason is applied to reality. Kant even made it a rule. And Hegel, who wanted to abolish Kants Thing in Itself, still wanted reason to be tied to something that, ultimately, provides what could be called truth - a thing that physics has, while math doesn’t.

@jmovs @jon @Vivaldi Hydro also requires putting a valley underwater with the resulting destruction of nature.That said, a lot of the affected valleys in Iceland were quite barren to begin with and it's a less polluting and more sustainable option than lighting things on fire.
