@jbz thanks. Interesting to read about the Punkt minimalist 4g MP02, (just calls, text oldschool clickphone, with hotspot. I could rock just that paired with an e-ink-android-tablet-something alongside it.) seems like such a cool gadget((yet another))). Based purely on most recent talk/activity/hype, the most mature of the options seem to be the murena, the volla, and hopefully the jolla.
