I feel like this debate is a little simplistic in its ambition, but when it comes to batteries, renewable lithium batteries may be a necessary transitory stage away from fossil fuels, but sodium batteries, based on abundant resources which do not require lots of environmentally destructive mining, is a better choice for solarpunk

I think this permits a fairly large range from 8 bit microprocessor on a home made PCB to modern GPU found found in a bin and powered by a team of cyclist
