Every now and then when my blog gets attention, *especially* when the "How Decentralized Is Bluesky Really" post came out, you get a bunch of people complaining that the site looks like it was designed 20 years ago (it was)

@mkljczk made a "more modern version" of my blog https://mkljczk.pl/uploads/how-decentralized-is-bluesky/
Compare to the original https://dustycloud.org/blog/how-decentralized-is-bluesky/
Big step up!

The difference:
the new site fails for me because NoScript is my friend and blocks javascript. The old site was perfectly readable without it.
I generally block javascript whereever i can because that's how you get the trackers and malware working. So, for me, i liked the old one better. And i don't care what format the information is presented in as long as i can easily access it.

@cwebber @mkljczk I think it's broken for me because I have uBlockOrigin rules enabled that block cookie popups, so after dismissing the newsletter signup I get stuck with a gray overlay on top of the main content.
Which is absolutely in line with my experience with modern websites, 10/10, straight outta the 22nd century this thing.

@cwebber this is amazing but also I do legitimately have a hard time reading your site on mobile without reader mode
adding a "<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1”>” seems to really help (like this: https://superb-piroshki-90aee2.netlify.app/)
