I had a hard time believing "CoPilot, plagiarize my brown colleague's work so I get the credit" would be an ad they'd run but ... it's a real thing.

I had a hard time believing "CoPilot, plagiarize my brown colleague's work so I get the credit" would be an ad they'd run but ... it's a real thing. Somebody made a pitch for this and somebody said yeah that's a great idea let's make that and then somebody did and then somebody looked at it and approved it and aired it.
You can tell who's not in the room, you know? You can tell who either isn't there, or doesn't feel like it's safe for them to speak up.
@mhoye what the actual fuck? -

@mhoye suggests how the people involved might have achieved their current positions?

A message and product specifically for mediocre white guys. Pathetic.

@mhoye This is so gross in multiple ways.... In addition to the egregious racism, I couldn't get over the shot of the woman lint-rollering the yt dude's suit, I guess as his reward? The black woman is completely obscured by a man (I can't even tell what she is doing!) & the other woman is off to the side taking notes like a good little secretary, I guess? It's telling - yt women in subservient roles + complete erasure of WOC. It's the yt men who get to speak on camera & be served by others.

@otte_homan It's kind of remarkable that there's a whole psychosocial towers-of-hanoi of terribleness in this and it's not even thirty seconds long.
