@FediTips many times...I was trying to Ctrl+C and Crtl+V and my fingers slipped if that helps...

This is really puzzling! I am wondering if it was some kind of "hotkey" that you pressed accidentally but I can't find a hotkey that does this?
Try going to
️ Preferences, then activate "enable advanced web interface" and "save changes", then deactivate it and "save changes" again.

@FediTips tried that to. turned out to be i had zoomed in somehow. I used Ctrl - to zoom out and it was fine but I have no idea how I did it since my - key is way off to the top right

Ahhhhh! Yeah that explains it!
Thanks for getting back about this, if it happens to someone else I'll know what to suggest.
EDIT: Looking at your screenshot again, it has the "110%" indicator in the browser's address bar, I should have noticed that

Another way to zoom on Firefox is to hold CTRL and then to swipe up or down on a touchpad or use your mouse's scroll wheel.
I sometimes do this by accident, maybe it happened to you too?
