I use Nextcloud, and I prefer apps based on that, and I like a lot of the fossify apps, thus replasing defaults. Why can't I deactivate those?

I think of getting a Fairphone5 with Murena.
Right now i replaced most Apps on my old Android Huawei with Fossify Apps and othets from F-Droid ( galery /sms/ contacts/vlc, simple key ..) .
Do i understand you correctly, that there is problems setting them as default?Is it possible to delete the the preinstalled Apps kompletely then?

@v_d_richards @murena You have to use force to remove the default apps, like from adb as user 0.
You can change defaults, and some of the default apps can be disabled, but not all - most annoyingly, the horrible bliss launcher can't be disabled on my FP3, and it keeps spamming crash messages. I use many fossify apps, and many nextcloud apps, all works fine. -

@v_d_richards @murena It is the default launcher app on FP3, the desktop so to speak, and it tries to look like an old iphone and has unremovable widgets. I prefer a pixel style launcher, where I can chose which icons are on my home screen
I don't know if bliss launcher is present in FP5. -

@v_d_richards @murena Btw - this is with /e/os. I don't know how it is with the stock android system.
