There’s two different terms in German for being "brave":
- "tapfer" is when you confront unpleasant/dangerous situations that can not be avoided without whining. e.g. a child at the dentist is tapfer.
- "mutig" is when you confront unpleasant/dangerous situations that can be avoided. e.g. someone going bungee jumping is mutig. -
