Berlin, Germany: Vehicles Belonging to a War Profiteer Set on Fire

A Fiery Disarmament Measure at Telekom!

“Arms manufacturing is a new business sector that Deutsche Telekom intends to develop, and in which it sees strong growth potential.”

What Deutsche Telekom CEO Tim Höttges refers to here as “growth potential” means nothing other than: war is a lucrative business, and the company wants its share of the pie.
With the development of IT services for defense and security agencies, this semi-public company has long embodied the intertwining of civilian and military technologies.

But this new push into the arms market takes on a distinctly new dimension, and Deutsche Telekom thus finds itself in excellent company. Germany wants to prepare for war, and in this context, its struggling industrial sector is indeed shifting its focus toward defense. For example, tanks are expected to roll off the production lines soon at the Volkswagen plant in Osnabrück and at the Alstom rail manufacturer in Görlitz, while Rheinmetall plans to begin production of corresponding artillery ammunition as early as July at the former Pierburg plant in Wedding. For its part, Telekom plans to develop, in collaboration with Rheinmetall, a defense shield against drones. Through its 2-billion-euro technology fund, the company is also acquiring a stake in the defense technology startup Quantum Systems, which builds autonomous combat and surveillance drones.

We cannot let all this go unanswered: that’s why, last night, we reduced Deutsche Telekom’s vehicle fleet by six cars in Berlin’s Alt-Hohenschönhausen neighborhood. They didn’t count on us. We refuse to give up our neighborhoods for their weapons production, nor do we want to die on the front lines as cannon fodder for the rulers.

Solidarity greetings to the Ulm 5 and to all the other anti-militarists whom the cops have been harassing lately!
    Against all war—Against all genocide!
Fuck military service—Fuck the Bundeswehr [German army]!
Let’s attack militarization and the dystopia of AI surveillance!
And as always: Let’s defend Rigaer94!

You have the power, we have the night!
