ok i'm no military commander but why don't they simply ... shoot down putin's plane as he takes off and end the war right then and there? he's literally right there dudes. oh ok i've just been informed that trump is going to ask nicely again. never mind. i'm sure that'll work.

@josh Maybe to those in power, the lives of other people in power are worth a for more than others, or they won't kill this single man for moral reasons even if it means the deaths of hundreds of thousands.
Or they fear the consequences of doing so, but it seems to me that it'll be challenging to get a worse outcome from that than inaction.
