Neither of that is taking care of your back.
The hip are misplaced on both the pictures that why the back tend to round.

By bringing the hip forward and bend slightly forward with a straight back, the tension on the back is released and the deep muscle are engaged which allow to keep the position much more longer than on the second picture.
