@fuzzy@beige.party FreeBSD is currently still accepting slop (LLMs are fundamentally unreliable and lacking in intentionality in ways that make them exceptionally unsuitable for being anywhere near any kind of engineering; they are also addictive and harmful to their users) on many core systems including ZFS, uses slop engine review (which is well-known to rapidly degrade in quality as oversight fails from cognitive damage & deskilling), still tolerates fascists & their supporters in direct contribution to the project and of course works in close collaboration with capitalist corporations (the link between capitalism, corporatism and fascism has also been well-studied).
I think that readers are more than capable of looking up the myriad resources about the link between “AI” (historically), LLMs (currently) and fascism. To attempt to list it exhaustively would make this post annoyingly heavy to read and write.
Do I need to expand some more on why house-cleaning is needed? Or is that also a confusing analogy?

@fuzzy I'm still interested. I'm sorry you don't understand what the words in my bio mean, that requires an open mind to grasp what progress means and how technical progress and social progress are too often conflated to only favor the former even if the latter is actually a regress.
