Yes, again. This is the third time I’m trying Immich. Because I’m paying to #Apple for iCloud+ and at the same time have excess compute power and storage at home. This sounds dumb, isn’t it?
While Immich still lacks a very important feature for me, I see that they are working on it right now. So I hope the current attempt would be final.

Also, I'll need a replacement for iCloud's file storage, and currently trying #OpenCloud. It is promising despite the painful initial setup process. Also curious what other people use for #SelfHosted file storage except #Synology and #Nextcloud.

I went through something similar. Requested all my iCloud data and uploaded photos to Immich.
Was Immich able to recognize when a photo was taken in your case?
