@methchild Come to think of it, I have automatic adding of contacts enabled. So I probably just have to "see" you. Still trying to wrap my head around how it all works

two way add is typical if your companion hasn't yet received an advert and you want to DM , otherwise you can add from within the app if the contact has been seen in a channel : #public and #test will have a semi regular stream of messages as long as you are within range of a repeater. there may be local channels too that have the name of your nearest city for local communication. There does seem to be good coverage around Odense , Copenhagen , Aalborg, Aarhus and Roskilde -

yes , either 'see' me (unlikely given my location) or if there was a manual 'add' then the mesh would try to 'find' a route through -
