AI tools are pumping out a ton of apps and content, but no sign of adopting them. To be honest, the term "agentic AI" doesn't even mean anything anymore
In other words, the demand for good developers and artists for making apps will always be there no matter what Sams or Dario says@nixCraft the app store is unusable now so theres that

In other words, the demand for good developers and artists for making apps will always be there no matter what Sams or Dario says@nixCraft @briankrebs Every new app is now viewed by me as "oh just another slop code app that someone slopped together and has no way of supporting in the long run so why even bother to check it out". So I personally check if the app existed before sloppification (B.S.) and only then I bother actually checking.

@nixCraft Needs native agent support from iOS just like SDK. Right now none of the apps solve any meaningful problem.

In other words, the demand for good developers and artists for making apps will always be there no matter what Sams or Dario saysAnyone can generate an app. But the app is untested, unmaintained, unsupportable, and not sustainable.
An app has a lifecycle which takes knowledgeable people to support.
Ask yourself why you wanted to generate an app in the first place, if you don't have software skills.

This is an unpopular opinion around here, but in the already malignant cesspool that is mobile apps, somewhere between the raw sewage and the slop, I like to think someone will build something good that wouldn't have existed otherwise.
Maybe a good designer can get acceptable code or a good coder can get acceptable design and the mix will be better than the existing crap.

In other words, the demand for good developers and artists for making apps will always be there no matter what Sams or Dario says@nixCraft I disagree because nobody can define what a "good" artist or a "good" developer means. And for most companies, good enough is sufficient.
The companies will weigh a good developer who gets sick and needs training compared to an AI who works seven by 24 and other complaints.
Additionally there is a saying "Only a Buddha can recognize a Buddha".
No product manager or senior manager can recognize a good developer. -
