@MelissaBearTrix but what is the airflow like around the printer?

Are the exhaust ports blocked by printer paper?Plenty of space ....and in a cooler spot
I even vac the vents ... Giggles

@MelissaBearTrix dunk it in holy water to cool it down. Your printer built up too much evil because you haven't been punching it enough and now it can't dissipate that heat properly.

In the 1990s, a friend gave me a PCL script for HP LaserJet printers, to send a request to any printer, to make it stop printing and display a custom message on the LED.
I'd prank people at a Wall Street bank, getting the printers to say stuff like, "RASPBERRY JAM", "GAME OVER", "HI SCORE", or "ADD CHEESE".
Overheard the SysAdmin, a rather serious man, on the phone with HP tech support, describing the issue: "Yeah....yeah....ADD CHEESE.....that's the error."

Fuck me. Last time I've seen a printer stop because of overheating was in the early nineties. Dot-matrix printer which had been literally hours pounding ink into paper. Remember these print heads with cooling fins like little engines? No one twice made the mistake of touching them after a moderately-sized print job.
