This report says WaPo canned all of its staff photographers. I'm not sure if Michael Williams was still on staff, but he won two Pulitzers. Other photographers had won that and other prizes.

@DukeDuke They'll probably use Getty and AP and other services. So their photos will be the same stuff everyone else publishes.

They'll probably use wire services and such and ask reporters to take photos.

I have had editors ask me to take photos as I reported. My reporting suffered by split attention and the photos pretty much sucked. Because I'm not trained as a photographer.
