Great news! Every reason to celebrate down ballot wins.
This one isn't minor.
One of the reasons - beyond all the criming - that the malign grifters have to gain authoritarian control is that this is likely to be a pattern from now on. Deep red seats may flip as the abject incompetence and plain ol' malevolence of the Trump admin hurts more and more people.

COVID, though a disaster, could happened to any sitting President (though, undoubtedly, Trump's lack of leadership and chronic scientific incuriosity made it worse). But what's going on right now is absolutely a "No-one, literally nobody, Trump: 'Let's just make everything worse because I got my understanding of economics from the back of a cereal box'" situation, and I'm hoping even people who got their understanding of economics from budgeting fast food vs. mortgage payments can see it.
