at least this is out in the open. in the case of Ukraine, the US was involved in an undemocratic change of government under Obama. we think of it as a democratic uprising because we were told to, but they had a democracy. but then it's argued it was actually a corrupt fake democracy. that is said about most democracies when the wrong people win. it had been an imperfect democracy too closely aligned with Russia.
I have old friends and colleagues in Ukraine, and according to them, that election was already being influenced heavily by the Russians (probably even more than Russia is trying to influence the election in Hungary), so there is that.
Other than that, I tend to agree with you. Foreign powers should keep their grubby little paws of local elections in other countries.
