It's pretty transparently obvious to me the cultish doomsday narrative is due to awful internal culture at Anthropic (I've heard first hand from employees there saying it is a cult), and ultimately this is about culture for IPOs and money.

@GossiTheDog My opinion: The development of this kind of LLMs has hit a wall. Currently it's all about PR Stunts at OpenAI and Anthropic. Yes, there are still improvements, but not that big anymore. OpenSource Models are getting close to the hyped US models performance.
