Ooh, I see a lot of medievalists pass through my feed. Make sure you start by following the #history hashtag! The posts you see with those could give you ideas for more specific ones to follow.
Heck, you can edit your posts here. Edit your introduction and add #history and #medieval to it, so people who follow this can see you.
@jztusk Hey! Thanks for your tips and kind words, I will do just that! I must say that I find it quite extraordinary to see a sentence bearing the phrase ‘seeing a lot of medievalists here around’ in it haha! It is good to hear that there are more of us on here!
Thanks again!!

Hey, my name is Niek, and I am a newbie, when it comes to Mastodon or social media in general. By engaging with this platform, I hope to find more individuals who share similar interests. In layman’s terms, I am somebody who loves to talk about medieval manuscripts and her magnificent languages, modern-day dictionaries and etymologies, almost all genres of English literature (but a massive Gothic fan and author) and world history! #introduction #history #medieval
@niekolaas You might want to check out the people on the hcommons.social, fedihum.org and glammr.us.
Welcome!

@niekolaas Hi and welcome! I read Sir Thomas Mallory’s L’Morte D’Arthur in 6 th grade and haven’t read anything “medieval” since. Quotation marks because I can’t remember that books publication date. But I did love it!

@BranwenOShea Hey!!! Thanks for reaching out! Do you remember if you read the original Middle English text or was it already translated to PDE (Present Day English)? It certainly classifies as a medieval text (late one at that!). You were not wrong in categorising it as medieval!!
