Another Erdoğan-coup.

Video showing the size of protest in İstanbul against Erdoğan's current coup, while all demos, gatherings and press conferences are banned.
P.S...
That reached me via the Free Trade Union of Iran.
I have seen that dissident, social justice, feminist, labor/trade union, etc and also freedom guerrilla-related persons and organizations under the Iran-theocracy are following the events with expressions like rage and disgust at the police's pro-coup brutality and Erdoğan's violations.
You are not alone. Your freedom- and equality-minded neighbors are with you.More on that as "protests over the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu spread across Turkey, the government has intensified its crackdown through mass detentions, protest bans, unlawful internet restrictions, and threats to independent media outlets"

Turkey's courts system order Elon Musk's eX-Twitter to block the very reputable independent press bianet's account "amid a wave of online censorship targeting hundreds of accounts covering the protests following the İstanbul mayor's arrest.
[...]
X has complied with more than 700 requests from Turkish authorities to restrict accounts amid the protests since İmamoğlu’s arrest."
https://bianet.org/haber/turkish-court-orders-blocking-of-bianets-x-account-305802Note that neither eX-Twitter nor any of the other social media platforms which are headquartered outside Turkey actually HAVE to comply with Turkey's court orders, as they are under the jurisdiction of wherever they are registered (e.g. California, USA) unless they CHOOSE to have servers and/or office in Turkey.
If they don't have servers or office in Turkey, they are not operating in Turkey and thus it does not matter what Turkey's laws, etc would be. Turkey can then choose to block, which would lead to further protests, prestige-loss and tax-losses for the government.
However, eX-Twitter and others have CHOSEN to open an office in Turkey for the specific purpose of making themself subject to Turkey's courts, to aid the dictatorship, instead of taking the fight for proper free speech.
Same for all other places, like India, too of course. -

(not an endorsement)The leader of the CHP, largest opposition party in Turkey, at the main İstanbul anti-coup protest told the Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions (DİSK, >300000 members) to go on a general strike whenever there is a need to, to "don't let them breathe!".
