so much storytelling going on - the kettle warming is on the hob beside her, the furniture is 50's/60's, she's using a cup as a ashtray, along with the open window (which seems to be more modern than the rest of the kitchen) suggest the house isn't hers and it looks like the oversized clothing also may not be hers and presumably all of this ties into whatever she's thinking so long and hard about. -

They're cheap 2000-2010 fibreboard. The walls are thick, so I agree this is probably a cheaply renovated rental apartment.
