When she turned up to get it it had the two snails in and the owner said to just take the tank and throw the snails away! She knew I'd had a giant African landsnail before so I got them

My snail, Slick, went walkabout at times. In spite of his mobile home, his regular abode was best: my cat Okki loved to pick him up & run around with him, as if he were a marble.
I once was working, felt something was going on: I found Slick on the outside window sill. Back inside it was.
Once, travelling back from France, I had a migraine-stricken panic attack that he was gone. When I was home, his abode was on the ground. But he came back

I realised it's about time I did a new introduction post so hi, I'm Jules, I live in Devon with my wife, 5 cats and 3 giant African land snails and grow plants for science for a living. I'm doing my best to make the world a better place, mostly by composting, cycle campaigning and trying to live as sustainably as possible and practical.

@Mint_Lavender they're remarkably tolerant little creatures, she put up with my nieces driving toy cars over her and carrying her to bed with them which I don't think your average cat would have stood for

Copy the web address of the link Jules shared, then paste it into the search box of your Mastodon server's website. This will make the post appear within your own server and you will be able to like it and interact with it.
You don't have to do this every time for every post, this method is just a fallback for situations where nothing else works
Usually when you see people share posts they will appear within your own server's website.
