@stux yes! I fear this will be the first time my children will call me an old man, "of course you can do it on the phone"

@stux my rule of thumb is, if it's going to require 2fa, I do it on my computer, because if I try to do it on my phone, by the time I swap out from the browser to the email/messager/other client or whatever to deal with the authentication, fucking android will have cannibalised the browser process for memory, and by the time I get back to the browser it will have reset the page DOM and lost all its fucking session state and I have to start again.

@stux
It me.I figure it’s a result of how online shopping creeped over to mobile. There was a time where online shopping was relatively common but shopping via a mobile phone was not yet common.

@stux I made me a simple rule. No monies on my phone, ever.
Phones are hackable and stealable.
-
@stux Because tickets on phones are more expensive than on the computer.
@stux And sometimes I need a bigger image of something which no phone can convey, this is not about purchases, which require sit down and a computer, but also having the possibility to see if it fits into my itinerary... Having a spreadsheet of your travel can and should be only done with a computer.

I try to avoid making purchases on phone. Number 1, increase friction in spending money. And 2, I need at least one monitor, keyboard, and mouse so I can comparison shop across multiple tabs.

@stux This only applies to eva air where their website absolutely has to be running on 90s technology

@stux For sure. I don't want to be looking at something potentially costing hundreds of £/$ on a phone screen where I can easily accidentally brush the Buy Now button while trying to scroll down, or clear a bloody popup.
Or miss some fine print because it didn't fit on screen.
