I got my education about Florida Man from Fark back in the day.

I actually went there once for work. Tallahassee, which was an eye-opener. A close colleague (in IT support, doing well for himself) was from there and his life goal was to own his own trailer park, which was kind of Essence of Florida.

But yeah, those examples are deeply unjust and I do get and agree with your point but it’s very much a ‘be careful what you wish for’ situation and your framing is used by many to wish for more surveillance.

It’s counterintuitive but “universal” surveillance is more unjust than the persistence of SOME injustice.

Institutional roots run deep, and patterns of behaviour are ingrained so deeply that they are nigh unchangeable.
