@kimlockhartga I don't believe all are, although I'm not 100% on what's what (not being interested in the purchase or setting off of fireworks myself). Some of what we've heard today would be obviously illegal anywhere I've ever been, though.
@maxleibman I think they are dangerous and largely unnecessary. We can do digital or drone displays. Every year, growing up, some kid stepped on a sparkler. None of them are safe.
I fully expect having to play music for the dogs, and wearing headphones myself, because this being the 250th, I expect a lot of participation, even though no one was buying them at either store I went to of late.

@maxleibman So. I had a friend who went to the US for a year to study. One of the times that he phoned me, I commented on the bangs I could hear in the background, and asked (naively) if there were fireworks where he was. He informed me that fireworks were illegal "for reasons of public safety" in that part of the US, and what I could hear was gunfire. Not close enough to his flat to be concerning, apparently.
