I miss Ian Griffen's astro posts and appreciate that he chose his house down the peninsular with our next eclipse specifically in mind. It should be a beaut.
One lesson from the UK is to buy glasses early because many missed out.

@BobLefridge Some terrific photos there as you say Bob. The one of Prague Castle was especially stunning as is the one with the bull which features on your post.

That article has good images but was irritating with its sideways scroll on desktop. #NoNeedDitto. It's the first time I've seen them use that script and it's annoying. The scrolling seems to work at half speed and the sideways stuff is slow.
Grabbing and lifting the little scrollbar puts the script into reverse, including the sideways scrolling. It's a bit weird and unsettling.

@craftygardennz @futuresprog @BobLefridge Shipping to NZ is fairly horrendous from Bintel (unless buying lots of things). Can also buy similar from places like https://astronz.nz/collections/solar-filters (Auckland Astronomical Society).
