I respect & admire the VFX craft but dear GOD!, I fucking hate the Avatar movies!
It's so wasteful! It's Jim Cameron blowing budget because he can. This is a guy trained on Corman films to get the shot with tin foil & popsicle sticks; he KNOWS all this isn't necessary to tell the story if the story is good.
- and with all this waste it still doesn't work. It's still uncanny valley characters in a lifeless world. Blergh

@jwcph every time I see avatar trailers and everyone is blown away by them, I just think they look like computer games
