People who so easily accepted a 'might makes right' world order being upset when they quickly realize it doesn't always favor them
And EU leadership will find that out too when the US starts poking around Greenland again

and i'm not sure that charging tolls for a natural body of water is that unusual. turkey charges tolls for vessels passing the bosporus and i'd be surprised if they're the only ones who do that -
