@catsalad@infosec.exchange From what I remember, it was just before Twitter shat itself to death (around early 2022 or late 2021), as I was getting into open-source and found that Fedi/Masto was libre. Even though it is still an imperfect solution (as it's ultimately still social media), it was really cozy to see how much less chaotic it was compared to Twitter at the time.

@catsalad You should have gone further, 'When Musk bought Twitter' is probably the real migration.

I first created an account in 2018 but, didn't do anything with it. Then in October 2022 I started using Mastodon during the Great Migration.
