Yeah - you are never, and I mean NEVER going to be able to credibly make the argument that Trump's full Napoleon/Hitler turn here is WRONG, if you keep clinging to the idea that shit like Iraq and Afghanistan was right.
And that's why even well meaning liberals are helpless - because you're trying to find the angle that makes what you supported okay, while still criticizing this.
A person can't talk into two directions at once and appear fundamentally honest.

@AnarchoNinaWrites Saying that Maduro's government was crooked is the new "I Condemn Hamas". Liberals cannot bring themselves to just condemn the assault on a sovereign country and the kidnapping of a head of state ( in possession of machine guns...and destructive devices!!). Because they are complicit in the soft part of the coup that undermines a country's stability and economy, sowing discontent, making it ripe for a hard coup.
