I know someone who's off social media entirely & eschews online sources for print newspapers & they're kinda proud of it & I don't know how to make them understand that they're just as misinformed.

News media don't have one truthful editorial line for print & another click-baity one for online; it's the same content - you might even be MORE misinformed via print; at least online a correction may sneak through as a story unfolds.
