@randahl here’s the thing that I keep thinking. Our Western (Israeli-propaganda sympathetic) media has continuously demonized Iran leading the West to continue horrific sanctions against the Iranian people. Now, I’m not claiming that Iran are a “good” regime, but are they any worse that say, authoritarian Saudi Arabia, (whose citizens quite literally attacked the US on 9/11), and who for years have imposed much harsher restrictions on women, torture prisoners, etc. etc. ?

There can always be just baddies. It's incredibly rare for the goodies to be the government of a nation state, and Iran's is not a contender to be that exception.

@randahl Right? This whole thing has made me realise how much I value competence and rationality. I'm looking at two violent, evil regimes and about one of them I find myself thinking, "But at least they're logical and use language well," whereas the other, "And on top of all the rest, they're so ignorant and stupid." It is yet another disorienting element in humanity's tightening predicament.
